Frequently Asked Questions

We know that when people are considering treatment for substance abuse or addiction, they have many questions. While we cannot answer all of the questions that may arise here, we have provided responses to the most common questions below.

If you have any questions that you do not see answered here, please call us at 888-687-6977, or contact us here. Our admissions coordinators are available to assist you 24 hours a day.

HOW DO I GET ADMITTED TO ADVANCED HEALTH?

Admission to Advanced Health and Education’s treatment facilities is easy to arrange by calling our admission team at 888-687-6977. Our coordinators can assist you with any questions you may have, including insurance verification and payment questions.

A required pre-admission screening takes place over the phone, which usually takes 10-20 minutes. Pre-admission screening helps to clarify any issues that might delay your admission or your treatment. (For example, medical records may need to be submitted prior to admission.)

In the absence of any special circumstances, Advanced Health can usually arrange admission within the same day as your initial phone call.

DOES ADVANCED HEALTH ACCEPT INSURANCE?

Advanced Health and Education is able to work with many insurance companies. When you call us at 888-687-6977, we will verify your particular insurance coverage and let you know the current estimates of any potential co-pays or out-of-pocket costs prior to admission.

Ultimately, your eligibility and level of insurance coverage is an issue between you and your insurer, but we can assist you in maximizing your available coverage.

We are considered an “out-of-network” provider with most insurance companies. We are usually able to accept insurance payment without placing a financial obstacle upon the insured.

For patients in one of Advanced Health’s partial-hospitalization programs, there are no phone privileges during the first ten days of treatment. After the 10-day blackout period, patients are permitted phone passes twice per week, but only to call people approved by the client’s primary therapist.

Clients in Advanced Health’s outpatient programs are not permitted to bring their phones into the facilities during treatment hours.

AM I ALLOWED TO SMOKE CIGARETTES AT ADVANCED HEALTH?

In accordance with New Jersey law, there is no smoking inside any of Advanced Health’s facilities.

Smoke breaks outside of the facilities are provided throughout the treatment day.
